The 2007 orthophoto elevation model files are suitable for the preparation of 10-foot contour interval mapping to National Map Accuracy Standards, but should not be used to create contour lines for an interval smaller than 10 feet. Because of the relative density of elevation points and lines, 10-foot interval contour lines generated from these orthophoto elevation model files may not look similar to, or be as accurate as, 10-foot interval contour lines generated from large-scale DTM files. Accordingly, ninety percent or more of all elevational features in these orthophoto elevation model files are within approximately 5.0 feet of their true vertical position.
These digital elevation model files were prepared for use in the creation of one-inch-equals-200-feet scale orthophotography. The data set is specifically identified as a digital orthophoto elevation model, rather than a digital terrain model (DTM) or digital elevation model (DEM). Due to the relative density of elevational features in these files, the orthophoto elevation model files are to be used for orthophoto production only and are not suitable for preparation of large-scale topographic or contour mapping.
