Panel 1 shows a 36H forecast initialized on 6/16/10 at 12Z, panel 2 shows a 24H forecast initialized on 6/17/10 at 0Z, panel 3 shows a 12H forecast initialized on 6/17/10 at 12Z, and panel 4 shows a 0H forecast initialized on 6/18/10 at 0Z. 700_4Panel - 4 panel image of 700mb vertical velocity, geopotential height, and wind vectors at 4 different times from the NAM 80km CONUS model ran on 6/18/10 at 0Z. 850_4Panel - 4 panel image of 850mb temperature, geopotential height, and wind vectors at 4 different times from the NAM 80km CONUS model ran on 6/17/10 at 12Z. AntarcticComposite - Showcase the globe display with POES satellites over Antarctica. BlueMarblewithSat - Showcase one of the background images available in V with a satellite image overlaid. This satellite image was chosen due to the storm in the center of the image. Fronts - Analysis and forecast fronts with 1000mb temperature and wind vectors. Gridded1000-500Thickness - Displays the different ways gridded data can be displayed in V. A cross-section of the data and a color-shaded plan view are displayed. GriddedSounding - Show the sounding capabilities of V along with the hodograph. Gridded sounding is used because the sounding from point observations does not save and reload correctly. IcingConditions - Color scale between -1 and 1 degree Celsius changed to solid pink to make it easier to see the freezing point of water. Isosurface of 85% humidity and temperature range between -4 and 10 degrees C. ImgFilters - 4 seperate panels of a visible satellite image over Wisconsin. Panel 1 has the original image, panel 2 has the image after applying the high pass image filter, panel 3 has the image after applying the low pass-2D image filter and panel 4 has the image after applying the shot image filter. L2Radar+CrossSection - Level 2 radar with a cross section over a strong storm cell. L2Radar+Isosurface - Level 2 radar with an isosurface at 40dBz over a strong storm in Illinois, Kentucky, and Tennessee. L2Radar+RHI - Level 2 radar with an RHI display over a storm in northwestern Texas. L2Radar+VolumeScan - Level 2 radar with volume scan over the same storm as L2Radar+RHI. L2Velocity - 3 panel display of level 2 radar data showing varying velocities of a storm from 2 different radar locations; KVWX in Indiana and KLVX in Kentucky. Panel 1 shows base reflectivity at elevation angle .5 from KVWX. Level2Radar - Base Reflectivity with range rings over a strom in Indiana. Level2Radar2Panel - 2 panel display of base reflectivity. Panel 1 if of a 2D sweep and panel 2 is of a 3D sweep. Same storm as Level2Radar. Level2Radar3D - Base Reflectivity with a 3D sweep, same storm as Level2Radar. PointObs - Display of point observations of surface temperature with displays of contour plan view and color-filled contour plan view. The display also maps out major cities. PointObsUpper - Display of upper air mandatory point observations with visible satellite overlaid. PolarGlobe - Polar-orbiting satellite images overlaid on a globe display. RadarComposite - Composite display of 4 different radar locations of a storm over Texas and Oklahoma. In a few places the radar coverage from one site overlaps with the coverage from another site with discrepancies in the strength of the radar returns between the sites. RadarOverlaidSatKY - Radar overlaying a visible satellite image of a storm in Illinois, Indiana, and Kentucky. RadarOverlaidSatMO - Radar overlaying a visible satellite image of a storm in Arkansas and Missouri. RadarOverlaidSatWI - Radar overlaying visible satellite image over Wisconsin for the tornado producing storm on June 21. RGB - MODIS satellite data over the US in color using the three color rgb formula. RGBGlobe - MODIS satellite data over the US in color using the three color rgb formula. SatelliteoverTopography - Visible satellite image in 3D displayed over the Rocky Mountains. Surface+1000-500Thickness - Gridded NAM data of surface precipitation, sea level pressure, and 1000-500mb thickness with sea level pressure represented as dashed lines.
