**------------------------------------------------------------** This directory contains tarfiles of the International MODIS and AIRS Processing Package (IMAPP) Products. The software is supported on the following platforms: (1) SGI, IRIX64 6.5 (2) SUN, SunOS 5.7, sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-5_10 (3) Intel, Solaris_x86, compiled with g77/gcc. (4) IBM, AIX 4.3 (5) LINUX, 2.4.7-10smp, compiled with g77/gcc. (6) HP, HP-UX, B.10.20 Note: This release consists of the atmospheric profiles product. No other Level 2 products are included in this release, nor do they need to be updated prior to using this software. The output file includes a Water_Vapor and a Water_Vapor_Direct array. Water_Vapor is calculated by integrating the vertical moisture profile. Water_Vapor_Direct is a statistical experimental retrieval. We suggest you use the Water_Vapor array as the standard total precipitable water vapor product. **------------------ download directory ---------------------** PROFILES.tar: Atmospheric profiles and offshoots (MOD07) including total column water vapor and stability parameters source code with build and run instructions. Note: cloudmask, ancillary and flatfile must be built prior to profiles and all three should be built off of the same core directory, for example /MODIS/profiles, /MODIS/ancillary, /MODIS/flatfile, /MODIS/cloudmask, /MODIS/destripe_band26. There is a modis_profiles.csh script in the profiles/src directory which will run the five processes together on the test data sets included in the tar files. DESTRIPE_BAND26.tar: Source code which corrects for out-of-band26 (1.38 micron) radiance leaking in from band 5 (1.2 micron) and causing striping. This software is not required to run the cloud mask software, but helps in the correct dectection of thin cirrus in the cloud mask algorithm. Build and run instructions are included. Documentation : Profiles_Output_Description.txt: A description of the profiles output file products. Destripe_Band26.pdf: Technical description of the problem and proposed solution of the out-of-band radiation leaking into the band 26 (1.38 micron) detectors.
